    Unisa Application Fee 2022: How to Pay Application Fee at Unisa

    For the year 2022, Unisa application fee is R120.00. The application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa or do not qualify for admission to Unisa.

    The application fee may be paid using the MyUnisa online payment platform, electronic fund transfer (EFT), or credit card or cash deposit at your nearest bank. Note that Unisa SBL does not accept cash on the premises.

    Bursars (sponsors) can request a Pro-forma invoice from the Fees Office

    Invoices will only be created once a valid purchase order (PO) is sent by the bursar/ sponsor.

    For your convenience, Unisa provides a variety of different payment methods. Your Unisa application fee can be paid into the university’s bank account at any First National Bank (FNB) branch in South Africa.

    Ensure that the deposit slip is correctly filled in as follows:

    • Deposit to: Unisa Student Fees
    • Bank account number: Unisa Student Fees

    For deposit reference, the first eight (8) blocks are for the student number (If the student number consists of only 7 digits, then a “0” must be filled in as the first digit of the student number). 

    Leave one block open, then fill in the following codes: 5370810030 for the application fee.

    If you’re a South African student doing Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) via FNB, use the following details;

    • Bank Name: First National Bank (FNB)
    • Account name: Unisa Students Deposits
    • Account number: Select Unisa on the list of pre-approved public beneficiaries.
    • Reference: Student number, space, 5370810030 (study fees allocation number) [your 8-digit student number].

    South African students NOT using FNB for their EFT should use the income account number details.

    8 vital things to know about unisa application fee payment

    1. Unisa application fee is only applicable to students who do not have a formal Unisa student number.
    2. Student numbers issued for short learning programs are not formal Unisa student numbers. If you have a student number issued by the Graduate School of Business Leadership, please ensure that you pay the application fee during the application process to receive a formal Unisa student number.
    3. The application fee is a once-off fee. Once you have paid the application fee and received a formal Unisa student number, you do not need to pay the application fee again.
    4. Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee reference number (ie, STUDENTNUMBER 5370810030). Visit unisa.ac.za/paymentinfo for banking details and payment information.
    5. Can you pay the Unisa application fee using capitec? Yes. This is possible via EFT payment. To make an EFT payment, you must select the Unisa Student Deposit Account, which is already registered as an approved public beneficiary at the following banks; First National Bank, Standard Bank, Capitec Bank, Mercantile Bank.
    6. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.
    7. This application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa or do not qualify for admission to Unisa.
    8. Is the application fee subject to a cooling-off period? No.
